I am part of a reasearch team at NTU
that is seeking to conduct a Multi-
level Analysis of the Impact of State
Population Policies on Birth Rates in
Singapore from 1987-2007.

As part of the research, we are
looking for indian women between 20
49 years-of-age, that I will be able
to interview as part of the project. I
will conduct the interview on a one-on-
one basis, at a place and time
convenient to the interviewee.

These women who would like to
participate do NOT need to be in a
relationship. We are interested in
how women in this age-group think
about decision-making, and even if
they are not in a relationship, they
may be thinking about one they just
left, one they are about to get into,
or simply fantasizing about what they
would do regarding hypothetical child-
bearing.

Interview/Discussion topics include :

- Attitudes toward marriage,
- Value of children and attitude
toward children,
- Life style,
- value and attitudes toward ideal
living arrangements,
- Personal and family background.

Of course,

all the interviewees are guaranteed
CONFIDENTIALITY ,
interviewee will be paid 10 dollars
per hour; interviews are expected to
last a maximum of 90 minutes.
