two good movies
1) My Girl (1991)
- This movie is basically about the emotional awakening of a young girl in a small Pennsylvania town during the summer of 1972. Anna Chlumsky plays eleven-year-old Vada, a quiet child living with her widowed father Harry Dultenfuss (Dan Aykroyd), a local mortician who prepares bodies in his basement. Vada feels responsible for the death of her mother, who died giving birth to her, and lives in an emotional cocoon, her only friend being a personable local boy, Thomas J. Sennett (Macauly Culkin), who suffers from allergies. Like Vada, Harry keeps to himself, until a freelance make-up artist, Shelly DeVoto (Jamie Lee Curtis), comes to town and gets a job working with Harry. Shelly and Harry fall in love and Vada feels threatened by her presence. But then a personal tragedy forces Vada to come out of her emotional shell. The story deals with love, friendship, honesty, jealousy, puberty and death.
(Sad that I didn't catch My Girl 2)
2) Take the lead (2006)
- This movie is about Pierre Dulaine (Antonio Banderas), an inspirational Manhattan dance teacher and competitor. Pierre volunteers his time to teach ballroom dancing to a diverse group of New York inner-city high school students serving detention. The students are initially skeptical of Dulaine, especially when they learn what he's there to teach them, but his unwavering commitment and dedication slowly inspire them to embrace his program. In fact, they even take it one step further and combine Dulaine's classical dance with their unique hip-hop style and music to create a high-energy, unique fusion. As Dulaine becomes a mentor for his students, many of whom haven't had much to strive towards in their lives, he inspires them to hone their craft for a prestigious city ballroom competition, and in return they share with each other valuable lessons about pride, respect and honor. Inspired by a true story.

i went for one decent interview
the recruitment agency addecco gave me a call informing me that there was a vacancy for assistant engineer for 3 months at somewhere so near my house. yes, imagine i reach home in amazingly 10 mins. that's something so wonderful. and i was like okay.
got the necessary stuffs done, got myself dressed up in a formal tip top condition and headed down to the interview at my prospective workplace. just in case, i brought an umbrella. can u imagine the rain these few days. TERRIBLE i tell u.
so when i reached the vicinity of the location, i some what missed my stop and had to walk back. grr. when i reached the entrance of the place, i had no clue in how to get in. Apparently the gates have this security device which only certain pass usage will let u in.
gave my recuitment agency a call and told the matter. he gave me the interviewer's number and she directed me through the back of the building. I had to walk one whole round after 2 or 3 blocks of officers and had to return to the other side. so compliacted. can't they just allow the door at the front to be functional! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
okay the interview went well. the interviewer gave me 2 job positions. i could choose from assistant engineer to assistant quality manager. Upon speaking to the engineers and knowing more about the job scope, i kinda dislike the engineer job because i had to do alot of examining the designs in 2D and 3D. definitely not something i would like nor am i familiar with. the quality side seems more like what RP taught me. Even though both jobs are administrative, for the reccord i hate admin jobs, i wanted to give the engineering feel a try.
hmm well. i am waiting for the company to call back. she said she will call in a few days time and work will start on monday.
let's see how it goes la. =)

Jennifer Lopez gave birth to twins (a boy and a girl!)

The 38-year-old, who is married to singer Marc Anthony, delivered her first children just after midnight in a Long Island hospital.
The family is really happy and thrilled to the news of the new born!
The couple's 5.7 pound daughter was born first, followed by a 6.0 pound son. Both have yet to be named.
Lopez's efforts to have a child have filled tabloid pages in the past few years. Anthony, a 39-year-old salsa singer, has a daughter and two sons from two previous relationships.
So that means now she has 5 kids, oh boy! Two daughters and three sons. She must be a happy mom.
And when it comes to baby pictures, Celebrity magazine People is reportedly offering upward of $6 million for the exclusive U.S. rights for the first photos of the babies, topping a reported $4 million the magazine paid for North American rights to pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's baby daughter Shiloh.
A little bit about Lopez would be she’s a New York-born Lopez, who has sold 17 million records worldwide and released six albums, married Anthony, who has sold more than 10 million records, in 2004. It is her third marriage. The couple starred together last year in "El Cantante," a film about salsa legend Hector Lavoe.
Cant wait to see those baby pics J LO and congratulations to your new additions! =)

still have $44.96 before i get paid
the story behind the song "give it to me"
"Give It to Me" features Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, and Timbaland, each staking their claim within the music industry and taking a swipe at those who have attempted to bring them down and insult them in the past. Each of the three featured artists has a single verse in the song separated by the chorus, which is sung by Furtado.
Furtado's verse is about pop singer Fergie's appearance and comment that Furtado is not "promiscuous" in her 2006 single "Fergalicious". Furtado said on Big Boy's Neighborhood (Power 106 FM) that a couple of lines of "Give It to Me" are directed at Fergie and explained why she wrote those lines. The rumour was fuelled by the lines:The rumour is that Fergie had changed the sound of her solo album to follow Nelly's style. In "Fergilicious," there's a tenuous connection because Fergie raps, "But I ain't promiscuous."
Nelly, was asked on Ryan Seacrest's radio show if her verse was about Fergie, she was audibly dumbstruck. "Ummm, no," she said. "I think Tim[baland] and I just got a little cheeky and we were like, let's do a song about how great we are." The Fergie connection is pretty weak. Everyone knows Fergie's lyrics come from throwing a box of Alpha-Bits on the floor and jotting down all the words she can read.
But while we're working out conspiracy theories, maybe Nelly's gettin' all feisty with the photoshoppers who make her over for magazine covers, none more dramatically than the British edition of FHM. In 2002, Nelly said the mag had run a sexy photo of her on their cover without permission, digitally superimposing a very bare, very fake stomach.
"You work hard to represent a certain thing and have a certain image, and somebody can take it all away with the cover of a magazine," she told the BBC at the time.
The lyrics in "Give It To Me" say,
Who knows if she's working the personal hate-on for photoshop, but the sentiment is there.
In an interview with MTV, Timbaland said the target of his verse was producer Scott Storch, with whom he co-wrote Timberlake's 2002 single "Cry Me a River". Though production on the song is credited solely to Timbaland, Storch has claimed that he helped produce it and did not receive due credit. On February 27, in response to the song, Scott Storch released a diss towards Timbaland, "Built like That" featuring Nox.
"I get a half a mil for my beats/You get a couple grand. Never gonna see the day that I ain't got the upper hand. I'm respected from Californ-i-a way down to Japan. I'm a real producer and you just a piano man."
Timbaland's reps repeatedly claimed the song was not about anyone particular in the industry, but he made liars of them when he jumped on Marquee's turntable last week.
Celebrating after his concert with Timberlake at the Meadowlands, Timbaland was given a microphone and started improvising, clubgoers told Page Six. Rapping along to his lyrics, Timbaland yelled, "Scott Storch, I'm a real producer and you just a piano man."
The crowd was "shocked," said our spies. "But when he called Storch 'a bitch,' that pretty much cleared up any confusion over who that song is about."
Storch released his own single via YouTube in March, "Built Like That," in which he lashed out against his one-time ally Timbaland for stealing producing credits on Timberlake's song "Cry Me a River," a number on which Storch worked but was given no credit.
In his rebuttal, Storch raps about Timbaland's pal Nate "Danja" Hills:
It is rumored Timberlake's verse is aimed at pop artist Prince.Prince reportedly started a feud during an Emmy after-party, claiming that "For whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!", which caused Timberlake's response:
When the song was released, it was rumored that Timberlake's verse was aimed at pop singer Janet Jackson, but this rumor was denied by MTV News, which wrote, "A source close to the record said that Timberlake's lyrics have nothing to do with his infamous Super Bowl co-star—but he is responding to another pop artist who has seen career heights few other singers can boast."

here's the lyrics
( Alicia Keys)
oh... oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh oh...
oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh oh....
I just want you close
Where you can stay forever
You can be sure
That it will only get better
You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cause
Everything's going to be alright
People keep talking they can say what they like
But all i know is everything's going to be alright
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you, you, you
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
(Junior Reid)
none of them can love me
like you do
your feelings for me
is not you
better love me
they cant come
between me and you
yes you always around
you're the one
to wear my crown
I know you love me
I know you'll never let me down
woman you are so blessed
you never worry or stress
[No One lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]
you're my empress
me and you together
(Alicia Keys)
When the rain is pouring down
And my heart is hurting
You will always be around
This I know for certain
You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cause
Everything's going to be alright
People keep talking they can say what they like
But all i know is everything's going to be alright
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you, you, you
Can get in the way of what I feel
I know some people search the world
To find something like what we have
I know people will try try to divide something so real
So till the end of time I'm telling you there is no one
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I'm feeling
No one, no one, no one
Can get in the way of what I feel for you
oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
(Junior Reid)
none of them na love
them na love me like you

i made cereal prawns!
its for one serving (cause i din like what was cooking at home and made it for my own selfish self =p)
Ingredients
cooking oil
5 tiger or king size prawns (the bigger the yummier! =P)
1 tablespoon butter
3 sliced red chilli padi ( if you like it very very spicy, u can add more! but i think 3 is ok)
1 handful of curry leaves (one stalk will do)
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1 packet 3 in 1 Nestum from nesVita
lastly, salt to taste. (i used just a pinch)
Method
1) First heat oil in wok/frying pan. Don't use too much.
2) Fry prawns in oil till it turns red that means cooked! If you gonna cook the prawns right out of the freezer, Do remember to deforest and cook the prawns. The water from the ice may splash in the oil. Do be very very careful. Oil splashes are awfully painful.
3) Once oil is cooked, drain oil and place on kitchen towel to drain the oil out.
4) remove oil from the pan/wok and replace with margarine. Margarine gives a nice taste to the prawn. Allow the margarine to melt.
5) Add chilli padi and curry leaves. Saute until fragrant.
6) Add prawns, sugar and salt. Make sure it mix mell with the prawns.
7) Lastly add nestum and make sure it mix well. Once done, remove from pan, serve and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes yes it was super yummy.
just that the pictures din do much justice.
omg another week! i love ads =)

kids say the darnest things
By: Salma Rumman
Kids Contemplate Marriage.
How would you make your marriage work?
Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck.
Ricky, age 10
How can a stranger tell if two people are married?
You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.
Derrick, age 8
What do you think your mom and dad have in common?
Both don’t want any more kids.
Lori, age 8
What do most people do on a date?
Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.
Lynnette, age 8 (isn’t she a treasure?)
On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.
Martin, age 10
What would you do on a first date that was turning sour?
I’d run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.
Craig, age 9
When is it okay to kiss someone?
When they’re rich.
Pam, age 7
The law says you have to be eighteen,
Curt, age 7
The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It’s the right thing to do.
Howard, age 8
What is the right age to get married?
Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
Camille, age 10
No age is good to get married at. You got to be a fool to get married.
Freddie, age 6 (very wise for his age)
Is it better to be single or married?
I don’t know which is better, but I’ll tell you one thing. I’m never going to have sex with my wife. I don’t want to be all grossed out.
Theodore, age 8
It’s better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.
Anita, age 9 (bless you child)
How do you decide whom to marry?
You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.
Alan, age 10
No person really decides before they grow up who they’re going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find out later who you’re stuck with.
Kristen, age 10
