reason why i/any rp student wasnt online on msn this morning
Hi everyone,
We have detected viruses in several students’ notebook since yesterday (15th November). At the moment we have around 20 over cases of infection among students and not sure if it has already spread to RP staffs.
Situation:
This strain of virus are hidden files residing in all accessible drives on your computer, with known names like:
- msn.exe and autorun.inf
How will they affect you?
It spreads by sending out infected files through MSN to everyone on the user’s MSN list and also through any removable storage device such as thumb drives and portable hard disk. For example if the infected computer is plug in with a thumb drive, the thumb drive will get infected immediately with the virus.
How do I know if I have the virus?
1. The strain will slow down your laptop processing speed probably due to the virus multiplying itself in different file names in the user’s laptop, when virus is full fledge it causes all application to be unable to run, including in safe mode.
2. Whenever an application or anti-virus is open, it will automatically close it as such we have no chance to run any fixes.
What should I do to stop the infection?
Although the risk is low as it disrupts your work, we have shut down the MSN port as a preventive measure. Please refrain from using the MSN.
At the moment, there are no anti-virus tool that can totally remove this worm. We are working with the Symantec Security Consultants now and will keep you posted.

No matter what you say about love,
I keep coming back for more,
Keep my hand in the fire,
sooner or later I get what I'm asking for
no matter what you say about life,
I learn every time I bleed the truth is a
stranger soul is in danger
I gotta let my spirit be free to..
admit that I'm wrong and then change my mind
sorry but I have to move on and leave you behind
(Chorus)
I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize nothing's broken
No need to worry bout everything I done
live every second like it was my last one
don't look back got a new direction
I loved you once
needed protection
you're still a part of everything I do
you're on my heart just like a tattoo
just like a tattoo I'll always have you
I'll always have you
I'll always have you
I'm sick of playing all of these games
Its not bout taking sides
when I looked in the mirror,
it didn't deliver, it hurt enough to think that I could stop
admit that I'm wrong and then change my mind
sorry but I got to be strong and leave you behind
I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize nothing's broken no need to worry bout everything I done
live every second like it was my last one
don't look back got a new direction
I love you once
needed protection
you're still a part of everything I do
you're on my heart just like a tattoo
just like a tattoo
I'll always have you
I'll always have you
I'll always have you
if I live every moment,
won't change any moment,
there's still a part of me in u
I will never regret you
still the memory of you
marks everything I do.
oooh..
(Chorus)2x
I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize nothing's broken no need to worry bout everything I done
live every second like it was my last one
don't look back got a new direction
I loved you once
needed protection
you're still a part of everything I do
you're in my heart just like a tattoo

the adorable people we call children
here are some reasons as to why we all adore children...
1. A kindergarten pupil told his teacher he'd found a cat, but it was dead.
"How do you know that the cat was dead?" she asked her pupil.
"Because I pissed in its ear and it didn't move," answered the child innocently.
“You did WHAT ? ! ?" the teacher exclaimed in surprise.
"You know,"explained the boy,
"I leaned over and went 'Pssst!' and it didn't move."
2. A small boy is sent to bed by his father.
Five minutes later.....
"Da-ad...."
"What?"
"I'm thirsty. Can you bring drink of water?"
"No, You had your chance. Lights out."
Five minutes later: "Da-aaaad....."
"WHAT?"
"I'm THIRSTY. Can I have a drink of water??
" I told you NO! If you ask again, I'll have to spank you!!"
Five minutes later......
"Daaaa-aaaad....."
"WHAT!" "When you come in to spank me, can you bring a drink of water?"
3. An exasperated mother, whose son was always getting into mischief, finally asked him
"How do you expect to get into Heaven?"
The boy thought it over and said,
"Well, I'll run in and out and in and out and keep slamming the door until St. Peter says,
'For Heaven's sake, Dylan, come in or stay out!'"
4. One summer evening during a violent thunderstorm a mother was tucking her son into bed.
She was about to turn off the light when he asked with a tremor in his voice,
"Mommy, will you sleep with me tonight?"
The mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug.
"I can't dear," she said. "I have to sleep in Daddy's room."
A long silence was broken at last by his shaky little voice: "The big sissy."
5. It was that time, during the Sunday morning service, for the children's sermon.
All the children were invited to come forward.
One little girl was wearing a particularly pretty dress and, as she sat down, the pastor leaned over and said, "That is a very pretty dress. Is it your Easter Dress?"
The little girl replied, directly into the pastor's clip-on microphone,
"Yes, and my Mom says it's a bitch to iron."
6. When I was six months pregnant with my third child, my three year old came into the room when I was just getting ready to get into the shower.
She said, "Mommy, you are getting fat!" I replied,
"Yes, honey, remember Mommy has a baby growing in her tummy."
"I know," she replied, but what's growing in your butt?"
7. A little boy was doing his math homework.
He said to himself,
"Two plus five, that son of a bitch is seven. Three plus six, that son of a bitch is nine...." His mother heard what he was saying and gasped, "What are you doing?"
The little boy answered, "I'm doing my math homework, Mom."
"And this is how your teacher taught you to do it?" the mother asked.
"Yes," he answered.
Infuriated, the mother asked the teacher the next day, "What are you teaching my son in math?"
The teacher replied, "Right now, we are learning addition." The mother asked,
"And are you teaching them to say two plus two, that son of a bitch is four?"
After the teacher stopped laughing, she answered,
"What I taught them was, two plus two, THE SUM OF WHICH, is four."

new aged education
DO read.
ahneh's - touch education
things have really changed, hasnt it?€
i have a rather huge facination over planes.
y do u think i am doing on aircrafts for my fyp? hehe
anyway, going to airport is like my favourite thing to do and airport is the best hangout so far for me. I dont need orchard, i dont need town. I just love the view of beautiful planes tat can do what no human can do. that is to fly. That day as i was alone at t2 viewing mall, i was kinda admiring our singapore's latest pride, the airbus.
The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, four-engine airliner manufactured by the European corporation Airbus, an EADS subsidiary. The largest passenger airliner in the world, the A380 made its maiden flight on 27 April 2005 from Toulouse, France, and made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney with Singapore Airlines. The aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX during much of its development phase, but the nickname Superjumbo has since become associated with it.The A380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage. This allows for a cabin with 50% more floor space than the next largest airliner, the Boeing 747-400, and provides seating for 525 people in standard three-class configuration or up to 853 people in full economy class configuration. The A380 is offered in passenger and freighter versions. The A380-800, the passenger model, is the largest passenger airliner in the world, superseding the Boeing 747. The A380-800F, the freighter model, is offered as one of the largest freight aircraft, with a listed payload capacity exceeded only by the Antonov An-225. The A380-800 has a design range of 15,200 kilometres (8,200 nmi), sufficient to fly from New York to Hong Kong for example, and a cruising speed of Mach 0.85 (about 900 km/h or 560 mph at cruise altitude).
THAT'S LIKE WOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
An Airbus A380 in the livery of Singapore Airlines at the Asian Aerospace 2006 in Singapore. The airline runs the only A380 in commercial service to date. The first aircraft sold, MSN003, was handed over on 15 October 2007, following a lengthy acceptance test phase, and entered into service on 25 October 2007, with a commercial flight between Singapore and Sydney (flight number SQ380). The airline plans to use its first several aircraft, in a 471-seat configuration, on its London–Singapore–Sydney service when sufficient aircraft are delivered. Until then, the A380 will be used between Sydney and Singapore. Subsequent routes for Singapore Airlines may include the Singapore–San Francisco route via Hong Kong, as well as direct flights to Paris and Frankfurt.
The new Airbus is sold in two models. The A380-800 was originally designed to carry 555 passengers in a three-class configuration or 853 passengers (538 on the main deck and 315 on the upper deck) in a single-class economy configuration. In May 2007, Airbus began marketing the same aircraft to customers with 30 fewer passengers (now 525 passengers) traded for 200 nmi more range, to better reflect trends in premium class accommodation. The design range for the -800 model is 15,200 km (8,200 nmi). The second model, the A380-800F freighter, will carry 150 tonnes of cargo 10,400 km (5,600 nmi).Future variants may include an A380-900 stretch seating about 656 passengers (or up to 960 passengers in an all economy configuration) and an extended range version with the same passenger capacity as the A380-800.
The A380's wing is sized for a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) over 650 tonnes in order to accommodate these future versions, albeit with some strengthening required. The stronger wing (and structure) is used on the A380-800F freighter. This common design approach sacrifices some fuel efficiency on the A380-800 passenger model, but Airbus estimates that the size of the aircraft, coupled with the advances in technology described below, will provide lower operating costs per passenger than all current variants of Boeing 747. The A380 also features wingtip fences similar to those found on the A310 and A320 to improve performance.
Airbus used similar cockpit layout, procedures and handling characteristics to those of other Airbus aircraft, to reduce crew training costs. Accordingly, the A380 features an improved glass cockpit, and fly-by-wire flight controls linked to side-sticks. The improved cockpit displays feature eight 15-by-20 cm (6-by-8-inch) liquid crystal displays, all of which are physically identical and interchangeable. These comprise two Primary Flight Displays, two navigation displays, one engine parameter display, one system display and two Multi-Function Displays. These MFDs are new with the A380, and provide an easy-to-use interface to the flight management system—replacing three multifunction control and display units. They include QWERTY keyboards and trackballs, interfacing with a graphical "point-and-click" display navigation system.
The A380 can be fitted with two different types of engines: A380-841, A380-842 and A380-843F with Rolls-Royce Trent 900, and the A380-861 and A380-863F with Engine Alliance GP7000 turbofans. The Trent 900 is a derivative of the Trent 800, and the GP7000 has roots from the GE90 and PW4000. The Trent 900 core is a scaled version of the Trent 500, but incorporates the swept fan technology of the stillborn Trent 8104. The GP7200 has a GE90-derived core and PW4090-derived fan and low-pressure turbo-machinery.
Noise reduction was an important requirement in the A380's design, and particularly affects engine design. Both engine types allow the aircraft to achieve QC/2 departure and QC/0.5 arrival noise limits under the Quota Count system set by London Heathrow Airport, which is expected to become a key destination for the A380.
Composite materials make up 25% of the A380's airframe, by weight. Carbon-fibre reinforced plastic, glass-fibre reinforced plastic and quartz-fibre reinforced plastic are used extensively in wings, fuselage sections, tail surfaces, and doors. The A380 is the first commercial airliner with a central wing box made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic, and it is the first to have a wing cross-section that is smoothly contoured. Other commercial airliners have wings that are partitioned span-wise in sections. The flowing, continuous cross-section allows for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. Thermoplastics are used in the leading edges of the slats. The new material GLARE (GLAss-REinforced fibre metal laminate) is used in the upper fuselage and on the stabilizers' leading edges. This aluminium-glass-fibre laminate is lighter and has better corrosion and impact resistance than conventional aluminium alloys used in aviation. Unlike earlier composite materials, it can be repaired using conventional aluminium repair techniques. Newer weldable aluminium alloys are also used. This enables the widespread use of laser beam welding manufacturing techniques — eliminating rows of rivets and resulting in a lighter, stronger structure.
see see see! i told u airplanes. i mean a380 airbus is damn cool? =D
